I did. Not because I'm "green" or thrifty or anything like that. I sent some paper cards, too, with the family update and all. But I was very late getting started and didn't get the first batch mailed out until Monday. So the rest were e-cards. Very good for procrastinators.
We have never sent "E-Cards" but one party on our card list has requested we all go "green" for next year and send greetings via the internet. I'm glad they gave us a year early "heads up" on that because we'd have to think about sending the yearly "holiday letter" via email. They also send out a letter each year so I'm guessing they'd be sending it via email next year.
ReplyDeleteWe also don't worry about getting everything out by christmas because the delivery services are really socked in with work. Besides, we have this feeling some folks may enjoy a "post-holiday" greeting to get over the loss of the holidays and decorations. Kind of extend the holiday so to speak. (c;
I sent e-cards to all my co-workers with the message "saving paper, wasting bandwidth". I was surprised that the e-cards got past the "net nanny", but since they did, I had some fun. My department is pretty small so it wasn't a mass e-mail.
ReplyDeleteMaybe it got by because it was all internal?
